has designed this stunning collection of 
"hybrid tableware" for
one of my favorite Italian design companies!!!! 
(see blog 1/15/10, 2/3/10, 2/4/11)

Each piece appears to be split in half ......
One side has traditional Chinese porcelain designs,
while the other has classic European patterns.

Cast as a single bone china object, 
this commercial collection
blending the aesthetics of the east & west,
is based on a one-off project that Seletti had done previously.

I adore these dishes .....
they are an "accessoration supreme,"
that will soon be found in my china cupboard!!!

One last summer "accessoration" fling ...... at Amagansett Beach!!!!

I adore "art accessorations" and was especially enamored 
by the new "DeWoody"!!!!

Artist Peter Dayton,
inspired by 1950's "woodie wagons,"
created "car contact-paper" ....
to re-create this playful "beach buggy"
creative director and co-founder of 
a fabulous new website joining art & commerce, 
that mixes on-line shopping with bricks 'n mortar!!!

The car is divine ......
and I'm sure the new "art accessorations" at 
Grey Area's December pop-up shop  
will be fabulous too!!!!

Graffiti is a great "city accessoration" ......
the color, the patterns, the words, the pictures ....
and the locations!!!

And London's East End always has the most divine 
selection of things to see!!!

Remember London's op-art bunnie (blog 6/3/10) .....
she changed her "look" all the time!!!! 

Graffiti is part of the 
"keep your eyes opened all the time" 
theory of "accessoration"!!!

Opened in Milan in 1990, Carla Sozzani's 10 Corso Como
is the world's ultimate shopping extravaganza!!!

My idea of divine & decadent shopping has changed since my original Corso Como experiences of the 90's ........ I still love the fabulous clothing and accessories, but I am now totally consumed by the space and Kris Ruhs' stunning design elements, from packaging to furniture!!!

Last spring, I was enamored the collection of handmade, bespoke, black & white ceramic planters (blog 5/3/10) created by Ruhs, 10 Corso Como's resident artist & design. And last week, I was held captive in the recently renovated & expanded book shop ...... home to a plethora of incredible design, art, & culture books .... and his divine design updates!!!!

The loft-like space is fantastic and Ruhs' design details are stunning!!! The windows are curtained with necklaces of geometric plastic pieces painted in graphic patterns of black & white, and abstract colorations!!! Ruhs' newly designed, eclectic collection of glass-topped display tables with bespoke sculptural metal bases that took my breath away!!!! And his choice of chairs, the shapes & colors, are pretty fabulous too!!! 

I think Kris Ruhs is an "accessorator" supreme .....
 I've become a Kris Ruhs groupie!!!!
And just wait till you see the bar & restaurant!!!!

I got this fabulous gift from my friend Tina Petra, 
who, in addition to designing gorgeous jewelry, ......
produced an eclectic collection of artist designed objects!!!

Jim Hodge's edition, "Four Letters," created in 1993,
reflects his delicate, romantic, & intimate drawing style!!!
Combining emotion, touch, the human hand 
& an intrinsic sense of melancholy .........
the project was inspired by his "Diary of Flowers"series!!!!

Computers have made the art of writing letters passé .....
but, this portfolio is so visually romantic, 
it may make us all want to write love letters again!!!

And it is a divine object, a "must-have"
for all art collectors & design enthusiasts!!!!

Exhibition- David Hockney Drawings on IPhone & IPad!

The Fondation Pierre Bergé  Yves Saint Laurent has the most
innovative, imaginable, incredible exhibition .......
David Hockney: Fleurs Fraîche
It's a collection of drawings made on iPads & iPhones
"made for the screen, totally on the screen ... it's not an illusion," 
and they are exhibited on the devices!!!

The second part of the installation is a video of the images ......
I videoed a section of the video & that's what this is!!!!

The video is not perfect ..... it's my first video!!!! 
But, it gives you an idea of how fabulous work this is!!!
Isn't it amazing????

Spanish designer Marti Guixé's store for Camper's To&ether brand celebrates the company's collaborative philosophy .....
"the ability to integrate different creative expressions and  
cultures into one project."

Leading contemporary designers........
 including the Bouroullec Brothers, Konstantine Grcic, 
Hella Jongerius, Jaime Hayon, and the Campana Brothers 
 have created exclusive product and 
outstanding one-off stores with Camper!!!!

I think these stores are fabulous "accessorations"
 and applaud the Camper philosophy!!!

Johnson Banks have asked an eclectic collection of 10 creative English taste-makers to take a "journey" through the V&A Museum to select their favorite "things." The result is ten individual be-spoke maps to help visitors pinpoint V&A highlights. The idea is brilliant and the execution flawless ..... the use of the unusual fold creating the illusion of many pieces of paper is fantastic.

The stunning maps are works of art and treasures .......... 
and of course, I must have each one!!!!
