London's premier design gallery,
exhibited this stunning chandelier
by Dutch designer & founder of Studio Molen
 at this month's Design/Miami!!!

"City of Light Chandelier," is a series of
105 unique, handcrafted
individually numbered bronze "bells" .....
on a bronze track.

The bell's exterior and track have an aged patina,
while the bell's interiors,
lite by LCD's,
have the a warm glow of gold patina.

This amazing fixture would be spectacular ....
in my living room!!!
Actually, it would spectacular in any room,
any where!!!

I have been talking ceramics for several years .....
finally my chatter becomes a reality!!!!

Two major exhibitions in NYC last summer ......
& last week ceramics were a "buzz"

My passion becomes a trend!!!!!

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend!!!

And add in emeralds, sapphires, & turquoise .......

Pellegrino goes over the top again .....
this time with Bulgari!!!

I want a case ......

While I was spending endless amounts of time in Miami ....

Marni opened it's first Edition store in NYC
at the crossroads of Gansevoort & West 13th Street
in my 'hood .....
 the Meatpacking District!!!

The store is stunning ...... minimalist & modern,
with moveable steel & iron fixturing,
natural concrete floors,
brilliant daylight coming through giant windows
& a highly visible stock room.

There are no window displays,
instead product is housed in large steel boxes,
with fuschia interiors, that can bee seen from the street!!!

Orange chairs are a delightful accent,
but my favorite Marni "accessorations" are the
plastic "torso's" hanging from the ceiling,
printed with wonderful Marni-inspired mixed patterns!!!!
DIVINE!!!!!!

And I had to share the charming holiday shopping bags .....
each illustrated with a different child's drawing!!!
I don't know which is my favorite ....
so I grabbed one of each!!!

Italian fashion house Fendi sponsored
the "Design Performance" at Design/Miami 2011.

Fendi invited designer  Elisa Strozyk and
artist Sebastian Neeb to create this years project .....
"Craft Alchemy."

Collaborating to create a dream-like neoclassical interior,
inspired by Rome's historic Palazzo Fendi,
Stroykz & Neeb redesigned ornate 18th century furniture by
braiding, weaving, embossing, & sewing
discarded leather scraps from the Fendi factory.

The result is a divine collection of enchanted objects!!!!

Stroykz & Neeb also created delightful
"furniture marionettes,"
leather furniture created from Fendi scraps,
suspended from the ceiling by strings!!!

I also adored the "studio" the designers had set up .....
creating additional pieces & talking to fair visitors,
creating a  "furniture performance"!!!

Boston art collector Barbara Lee
was carrying the most chicest "accessoration" at

What could be more DIVINE than this seriously supreme
canvas shopping bag ......
with the you-know-what "B" bag print .....
that screams the "H" word!!!

Barbara told me should found it in Palm Beach at
& that it comes in a zillion colors!!!!

I must admit, I've already called .......
& ordered it for everyone on my Christmas list!!!

My biggest problem is ......
who gets which color!!!
And what colors "must" I have???

"Poolside Accessorations" are unique to Miami Beach ....
especially at the Loews Hotel!!!!!

I adore these this whimsical couple
lounging casually in the garden at the hotel!!!

Maybe I can take these bathing beauties to East Hampton ....
they would look divine lounging poolside
at my house!!!!!

Pierre Marie Giraud, owner of this eponymous gallery in Brussels,
has the most divine eye for sublime "accessorations"!!!

His unique selection of contemporary decorative arts,
from internationally renown European,
American, & Japanese artists,
exhibited at Design/Miami this past week
was stunning!!!

Of course, as a "ceramic junkie"
I adored the depth of Giraud's ceramic selection .....
from Ron Nagle to Sterling Ruby .....
and Kristin McKirdy, an artist who's work I was not familiar with.

I can't wait for my April trip to Brussels to see more treasures at

This divine bookcase,
from Hudson, NY antique dealer Mark McDonald,
was a "stand-out accessoration" at

According to Mark, the piece was made by
a unique design company that is ....
"blurring the boundaries between art, architecture,
entertainment & information"
by displacing, transforming & manipulating exiting objects!!!

I adored this piece ........
It qualifies for my "accessoration everything" list!!

#1 COLOR - It's Hermes orange, my very favorite color!!!
#2 ART & MOTION - It is a kinetic piece of sculpture!!!
#3 SCALE - It's over-the-top enormously huge!!!
#4 REPURPOSING - Each unit was originally a sink!!!

It's truly fabulous!!!!!

François Laffanour's Gallerie Downtown's booth
at Design/Miami was the most incredible installation at the show!!!!

This Paris gallery has a broad collection of work from
French designer Jean Proivé  ......
& Laffanour reconstructed, as the centerpiece of his booth,
 an enormous overhead structure
that was a section of a school designed by Prouvé,
originally located outside of Paris!!!

It was over the top and amazing!!!

According to Laffanour,
one of his client's has two of these divine structures
over his swimming pool!!!!!

That is definitely the world's
"supreme ultimate accessoration"!!!!

Unimaginably over-the-top & to die for!!!!
