I am just about out of words to describe Ellen Nora and Gill Goldstein's house......so thank goodness this is the final set of rooms!!!  These bathrooms are certainly not meditative, rather they are meant to transport you to another world...and they do!!!!

Ellen Nora has designed a jungle bathroom featuring a painted mural of flora and fauna. The mosaic encrusted sink, standing on bamboo legs, has a yellow basin...continuing the jungle theme. In addition, my favorite detail is the divine, painted leopard print toilet seat.....shades of "The African Queen!" or "Jungle Fever!!!" I wonder if Tarzan is hiding behind the shower curtain!!!!

The second bathroom reminds me of a "Carnival in Rio" or  a "Venetian Ball!!!" A mosaic melange of color, primarily red, white, pink, and black.....surrounds a red sink and covers the vanity!!!  Ellen Nora told me that rather than replace the old iron tub, she decided to continue the confetti theme and covered it with a mosaic design. I think this bathroom feels as if a great "shower of confetti" had fallen on a masked ball or parade!!!!!

This is the final post of this eclectic and eccentric house.  I hope it excited your eye. tickled your mind, and brought a bunch of smiles to your face!!! For me, this house says "try it, don't be afraid, anything goes, there are no mistakes!!!!!" Bravery goes a long way!!!!!

A special thank you to Ellen Nora & Gil Goldstein for being so charming and making their home so accessible to me!!!!

Hallo, A Bathroom Santuary is a room that may have different functions depending on the culturalist context. In the most literal sense, the word bathroom means "a room with a bath". Because the traditional bathtub have partly made way for modern showers, including steam showers the more general definition is "a room where one bathes". There can be just a shower, just a bathtub or both; and often both plumbing fixtures are combined in the bathtub. The room may also contain a sink often called a "wash basin" or "hand basin" and often a "lavatory".
